McCabe’s Coffee was voted Best Organic Coffee in Ireland in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, and Best Espresso coffee in Ireland in 2011 and 2016 at the International Great Taste Awards.
In total McCabe’s Coffee has been awarded 15 awards in the last 6 years at this trusted and recognised International competition.
McCabes are proudly one of the original coffee roasters in Ireland, passing the craft from one generation to the next. Stephen McCabe apprenticed under his father and has developed the skill and subtle intricacies of coffee roasting to deliver unique, delicious blends.
They only use Speciality Grade Arabica. This is coffee that has been scored above 80 by our qualified Q-grader, Ieva Japertaite, and carefully grown by farmers we visit around the World.
From 1st November 2019, they will be the first Irish Coffee Roasters to offer a collection service to recycle every bag of coffee we supply to cafes, restaurants and businesses around Ireland. In 2020, all our retail tea and coffee bags will be made from 100% compostable materials.
We chose compostable for our retail bags as we can’t collect from end users. 70% of each bag will decompose into high quality compost for Irish famers if placed in food waste bins and brought to commercial compost plants. This is the most sustainable packaging solution we can find.
